The Wyoming permit test

Questions come from the Driver License Manual: naming road signs by shape, color or symbol, reading signals and pavement markings, and multiple-choice questions on traffic laws, safety, crash prevention and vehicle equipment. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 9)
Can I retake the Wyoming written test on the same day?
Yes, once. You may take the same written test no more than twice in a day. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 9)
Is the Wyoming written test given in other languages?
No, it is given only in English, but an interpreter may help on the regular (non-commercial) test, and the automated system can read the questions aloud if you ask when you set up the test. (WYDOT: Driver License Testing)
Your Wyoming instruction permit
How old do you have to be for a Wyoming instruction permit?
15. You will need proof of identity, Social Security number and Wyoming residency, a parent or guardian's signature if you are under 18, and a passed vision screening and written test. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 7–8)
Who can supervise a Wyoming permit driver?
A licensed driver aged 18 or older whose license covers the type of vehicle you are driving. That person must sit in the front passenger seat. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 10)
How long is a Wyoming learner's permit good for?
One year, and it can be renewed as often as needed. You must have held it at least 10 days before you can apply for full driving privileges. (WYDOT: Learner Permits)
Intermediate and restricted licenses
When can I get a Wyoming intermediate license?
At 16, after holding a permit and logging 50 hours behind the wheel (10 at night) certified by a parent or guardian, or after holding a restricted license. You also pass a vision screening and a driving skills test, which approved driver education can replace. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 14)
What are the limits on a Wyoming intermediate license?
Everyone in the car wears a seat belt, you carry no more than one passenger under 18 from outside your immediate family unless a licensed driver 18 or older is with you, and you stay off the road from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. unless you carry a signed exception form for work, school, religious or youth sports activities, or medical needs. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 14)
What happens if I break the Wyoming intermediate license rules?
The intermediate license is suspended for 30 days. It expires on its own 30 days after your 17th birthday. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 14–15)
Can a 14-year-old drive in Wyoming?
Only with a restricted license for extreme inconvenience: for ages 14 and 15 who have held a permit and live five miles or more from school or work, approved by the Highway Patrol, valid 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. within 50 miles of home. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 13)
When do I get full driving privileges in Wyoming?
At 17 without any earlier license, or at 16½ if your intermediate license is at least six months old, has not been suspended, and you finished an approved driver education course with behind-the-wheel driving. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 11–13)
Driving in Wyoming

No. State law bans reading or sending texts while driving, and some towns ban phone use in city limits too. WYDOT advises pulling well off the road before calling or texting. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 89)
What does Wyoming's Move Over law require?
When an emergency, utility or highway work vehicle is stopped or crawling with its lights on, take the lane farthest from it on a multi-lane road; on a two-lane road posted 45 mph or more, drop to 20 mph below the limit, unless an officer directs you otherwise. (Wyoming Driver License Manual, p. 71–72)
