Based on the handbook, but you must verify
We use each state's official driver handbook as our reference and cite the page for every answer. Even so, it is your responsibility to check every rule, answer and explanation against your state's current official handbook and its licensing agency. If anything here differs from the official handbook or the law, follow the official source.
Not updated in real time
Our content is based on a specific edition of each state's handbook, named on the state's page. States publish new editions and laws change; when that happens, we add the updates over time, not in real time. Until then, some questions may not reflect the latest edition or law, so always verify answers with your state's current handbook and laws.
