Practice one topic at a time
After each chapter, practice that topic. You see the right answer and why straight away, with the handbook page to reread.
Learn the road signs
Signs are quick points once you know them by shape and color. Study the signs one at a time, then test yourself on 20.
Fix your weak spots
Your practice results are saved on your device. Practice my weak spots builds a round from the topics you miss most.
Take the full practice exam
The full exam works like the real one: 20 questions, 15 to pass, no answers until the end. Keep going until you pass comfortably several times in a row, then review every question you missed.
Before test day
Permit at 15 with driver education
With an approved driver education course (school, commercial or parent-taught) you can get a learner permit at 15; without one, at 16. (Oklahoma Driver Manual, p. 6)
20 questions, 15 to pass
Service Oklahoma's written test has 20 questions and you need 15 right. You can take it online with a webcam (60 minutes, two tries) or at a Service Oklahoma location. (Service Oklahoma: Written Knowledge Test)
180 days on the permit
Teens hold the learner permit for at least 180 days, with a licensed driver 21 or older beside them, before the drive test for an intermediate license. (Oklahoma Driver Manual, p. 6)
Intermediate license limits
The graduated license allows driving from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. (except for school, church or work, or with a licensed driver 21+) and one passenger unless all live in your home. (Oklahoma Driver Manual, p. 14)
Three-second following rule
Oklahoma teaches three seconds behind the vehicle ahead, or a car length for every 10 mph, and four seconds in bad weather. (Oklahoma Driver Manual, p. 44)
Move Over law
For any stopped vehicle with flashing lights at the roadside, move to a lane that isn't next to it if you safely can, or slow down and drive carefully. (Oklahoma Driver Manual, p. 30)
